extends javax.swing.JScrollPane

A JScrollPane customized for scrolling a whole view. Includes a replacement for scrollRectToVisible() that really works.

Constructor Detail

SwingViewScroller

public SwingViewScroller(int vsbPolicy,
                         int hsbPolicy)

Creates an instance. Must call setView() to set the view before use.

Parameters:

vsbPolicy - Vertical scrollbar policy (ScrollPaneConstants.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR_???).

hsbPolicy - Horizontal scrollbar policy (ScrollPaneConstants.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_???).

setWholeView

public void setWholeView(WholeView view)

Sets the whole view to be scrolled by this scroll pane. Does not dispose any old one.

Parameters:

view - The view. Never null. The graphic must be a Component.

scrollToTarget

public void scrollToTarget(java.awt.Component target)

showTarget

public static void showTarget(javax.swing.JViewport port,
                              java.awt.Component target)

Scrolls a viewport such that the target shape is centered in the scroll view. If the target fills or is completely inside the scroll view nothing happens. Throws an exception if target is not a descendant of port.

Parameters:

port - The view port. Never null.

target - The target object. Never null.

Scrolls a viewport such that the target shape is centered in the scroll view. Throws an exception if target is not a descendant of port.
